In order to receive services at the Centers for Family Change you need to complete 5 steps:
In a true emergency situation we strongly recommend that you go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. If you leave a message for your therapist please keep in mind that your therapist will most likely not return your call until the next business day.
Your responsibilities as a client:
Attending all your appointments, identifying and raising your concerns as clearly as you can, and honoring your financial obligations (paying your portion of our fees which insurance does not cover and providing 24 hour notice for cancellations).
Our responsibilities as clinicians:
Providing you with the therapy services we believe will be most effective to assist you. We will strive to be transparent and ethical in our work and are open to receiving your feedback. In fact, we encourage you to speak up about any questions and concerns you have, throughout the treatment process.
We do not consider anyone to be our client until they have:
- Completed all our consent forms
- Had their first therapy appointment
You will no longer be a client of the Centers for Family Change:
- If you go more than 3 months without seeing your therapist:
- Exceptions to the above include:
- You have a specific agreement with your CFFC therapist to have infrequent or as needed appointments
- You are temporarily living out of state (for work, school or other reasons) and have made specific arrangements with your therapist to resume therapy when you return to IL.
- Exceptions to the above include:
- We will send you a letter informing you that your case with us has been closed but please remember you are free to return to therapy at any point.
